iPad Accessibility: Bluetooth and Switch Accessible Apps

This iPad Accessibility resource was given to me by one of my supervisors.  It was put together

  • To Pair a Bluetooth Switch or Device: 
  • Follow directions on how to turn switch on for initial pairing 
  • Go to SETTINGS
  • go to BLUETOOTHturn ON Under DEVICES, find device and choose to pair This device should pair automatically from here on
Other Accessibility Options: 
  • Keyguard: www.laseredpics.biz 
  • Joystick: www.thinkgeek.com/product/e75a/ 
  • Glove/sock: inexpensive stretch glove or sock, cut out hole for finger, promotes isolation and helps to “hide” some of hand for greater accuracy 
  • Turn off MULTI-TASKING (Go to SETTINGS, Go to GENERAL, turn MULTITASKING OFF)
  • Turn on VOICEOVER (Go to SETTINGS, Go to GENERAL, Go to ACCESSIBILITY, turn on VOICEOVER . Once on, tap once to select item/double tap to activate selected item/swipe 3 fingers to scroll. Use with iBooks by opening app:
