Creative Ways to Use the BigMack Switch

In the last week I have seen myself going back to an old favorite AT device of mine, the Big Mack Switch, to incorporate into daily routines of children with visual impairments in early intervention.  It is an easy device to introduce to families and the vast world of assistive technology.  It is a medium technology, easy to use, and helps children with motor and speech delay intentionally communicate with their parents, siblings, friends, and teachers.  There are so many outside the box ways to incorporate into a routine.

For those of you new to the world of assistive and educational technology, the big mack is described by Ablenet as:  a device that: "Records any single message directly into the BIGmack communicator.  The user presses its activation surface for playback up to two minutes in length."
I wanted to share a few great youtube videos on how teachers, therapists and parents are incorporating the BigMack device into their daily routines.  It is amazing what one button can do!!
